WADJDA BREAKS GROUND IN VENICE

At this year's Venice Film Festival, Filmmaking 1 alum Haifaa al Mansour was honored with three awards for her ground breaking feature, "Wadjda". This beautiful project is the first film to have been entirely filmed within Saudi Arabia, by the nation's first female director. Congrats Haifaa!

Wajda won the Interfilm Award, the 'CinemAvvenire' Award, and the C.I.C.A.E. Award.
